As well as the Oxford services, Oxfordshire service station Cherwell Valley near Bicester was in the top 20 coming in at number 16.
The survey also suggests the importance of a good service station stop, with motorists visiting an average of 25 a year.
Great coffee, good atmosphere and lots of electrical charging points for EV drivers were ranked as important and almost half of the Britons polled admit they have turned around and walked out of a service station that wasn’t up to the standard they expected.
