Lord-Lieutenant visits Abingdon’s LTi Metaltech site

LTi Metaltech, based at Milton Park in Abingdon, hosted a visit from the Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Marjorie Glasgow BEM, and Deputy Lieutenant Mark Beard DL.

The visit highlighted the company’s key role in advanced manufacturing and its contributions to industries of national importance.

Edgar Rayner, managing director of LTi Metaltech, said: “It was a privilege to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenant Mark Beard to LTi Metaltech.

“We were delighted to share more about our business and provide an insight into the work carried out by our talented team.

“Visits such as this are important because they provide an opportunity to showcase the highly skilled people behind our success and the positive impact that manufacturing continues to have across Oxfordshire.”

During a tour of the facility, Mrs Glasgow and Mr Beard met senior management, apprentices, and long-serving employees, gaining an insight into the company’s manufacturing capabilities and the work carried out at the site.

The visit also included discussions about the importance of advanced manufacturing within Oxfordshire, the development of future engineering talent, and the contribution local businesses make to the wider economy.

The Lord-Lieutenant said: “I was delighted to visit LTi Metaltech and so impressed by not only their business success, but the strong sense of team spirit and commitment from their dedicated team.”
