Long standing Cotswold Airport figure steps back from role

Glen Moreman, operations manager at Cotswold Airport in Kemble, has announced he will return to a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) position after helping transform the former RAF base into a modern aviation hub with over 36,000 aircraft movements each year.

Suzannah Harvey, CEO of Cotswold Airport, said: “Glen has been at the heart of this airport for 25 years, and his contribution to its growth has been extraordinary.

“We’re delighted he will continue in his FISO role, supporting pilots and day-to-day operations.

“As we look ahead, these changes ensure we have the right leadership in place to support continued growth, innovation and opportunity locally.”

The airport, formerly known as RAF Kemble, has been under private ownership since 2001 when it was purchased by Ronan Harvey.

It now hosts a range of aviation businesses including ASI, GCAM, and next-generation aviation pioneers ZeroAvia and Vertical Aerospace.

As part of a new leadership structure, Graham Carter has joined as group chief of staff and airport managing director, while Antonia Silk has been promoted to operations director and joins the board.

Mr Moreman said: “I grew up in Kemble watching the planes at the airfield in its RAF Kemble days, so it has been a dream for me to spend my career here.

“It has been an amazing journey full of great memories such as organising the Hunter Hawker 50th Anniversary we hosted at the airport.”

Cotswold Airport aims to become carbon net-zero by 2030.
