Local elections 2026: Oxford city overall turnout revealed

Ahead of all results being announced, the percentage of voters who took to the polls has been made known.

The turnout was 43.5 per cent this year.

This is up from 37.5 per cent in the last city council elections in 2024 and 39.4 per cent in 2022.

There were seats up for grabs in all 24 wards across the city.

The council has 48 seats overall, with half of its councillors remaining in office.

Northfield Brook ward had the lowest turnout on May 7, with 27.4 per cent.

Wolvercote ward topped the turnout list with 54.4 per cent.
