Taking to X, this person told @LloydsBank: “I have other peoples transactions and account details showing in my online banking.”

Another asked: “Opened up the @LloydsBank app this morning and I’m seeing account transactions containing PII for someone else’s account?”

Someone else said: “@LloydsBank this current app issue isn’t limited, I can see transactions from other people accounts. Ac numbers, sort codes and names are clearly visible! This is extremely concerning.”

A user added: “@LloydsBank my banking app is showing me a series of random transactions on my current account statement that don’t belong to me. Can’t get through to you via phone as it says you’re closed… slightly concerned what is happening? Is there an issue with your app?”

Meanwhile, this profile shared: “I’ve just logged into the app and seen somehow else’s transactions…. Breach!”

This person wrote: “@LloydsBank when logging on to Lloyds app I’m getting someone else’s account activity, transaction and balance, not account number…explanation??!!”

Earlier, @LloydsBank responded to worried customers on X: “We are currently investigating the issue, and it may be the result of a technical glitch.

“In the meantime, please try logging out and logging back in this should resolve the problem.

“Rest assured, your account remains completely safe with us.”

However, Lloyds Bank has since apologised to its users and stated it is “looking into what happened”.

A Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson told Newsquest: “We’re sorry that some customers experienced an issue viewing transactions in the app for a short time this morning.
