Jeremy Clarkson praised as honest after body shaming attack
Mr Clarkson was commended for his honesty after a debate on social media about whether he is a ‘national treasure’ or not.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour star owns both a farm and a pub in the Cotswolds in West Oxfordshire.

Diddly Squat Farm, which he took over in 2008, can be found in Chadlington, while The Farmer’s Dog pub, which he opened in 2024, is in Asthall, near Burford.
These locations feature heavily in the popular Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm, which first debuted in 2021.

Since then, Mr Clarkson has become a spokesperson for the farming industry raising attention to rural issues and even joining protests in response to changes to inheritance tax rules.
That led one person online to ask: “Do you think Jeremy Clarkson is a national treasure?”
A national treasure is an informal, widely recognized title given to someone (or occasionally something) held in high affection by the public, usually for a long, distinguished career.

Sir David Attenborough, for instance, is widely considered to be a national treasure.
In response, an account called Corbynite Leftie share an image of Mr Clarkson topless with goggles on, and said: “How many national treasures look this bad?”
Mr Clarkson replied: “I look worse now.”
A fan in response praised Mr Clarkson’s reply to the post and said: “At least you’re honest Jeremy.”
