The 34-person choir is made up entirely of real British farmers and was created as a promotional and campaigning project linked to Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer and cider brand.

The group of farmers took to the stage, with one of them saying: “Jeremy Clarkson did a thing, and that thing is the Hawkstone Farmers Choir.

“Jeremy brought us together to sing, and it’s really been amazing for us all.”

The choir performed Elbow’s One Day Like This, which brought judge Amanda and some of the audience to tears.

She pressed the golden buzzer after the act, and said: “As soon as you started, I completely welled up.

“I felt so much power.

“I love the whole community, I love how you’ve all got together.

“You work so hard every single day, you absolutely smashed it and I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do in the semi-finals.”

Fans took to social media to also praise the act.

One said: “Yayyy gold buzzer for the farming choir, they were fun, uplifting, I loved it and great song choice.”

Another wrote: “Genuinely deserved that gold.”

Who else has got a golden buzzer so far in BGT 2026?

Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer was the fourth of the series, with Simon Cowell, KSI and Alesha Dixon already pressing theirs.

Simon was the first to press the gold in the opening episode, to Australian para athlete Paul Nunnari, who blew away the judging panel with his incredible wheelchair stunts.

KSI awarded the second golden buzzer of the series to 16-year-old magician Rafferty Coope, whose trick involved making a coin pass through solid glass and a card trick that led to him playing the song Don’t Stop Believing on the piano.

The third golden buzzer was awarded to entertainment act Antigravity.
