Jeremy Clarkson eyes new ventures ahead of Clarkson’s Farm

The 66-year-old owns a 1,000‑acre holding known as Diddly Squat Farm, near Chipping Norton in West Oxfordshire, where his hit Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm is filmed.

The fifth series of the hit programme was confirmed at the end of 2024 and filmed last year, officially wrapping at the end of September 2025.

Over the course of the series, viewers have watched Mr Clarkson grapple with farming and launch a number of new ventures.

This includes the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which attract visitors from across the country and regularly cause queues on local roads.

In 2024, the former Top Gear presenter also bought a village pub at Asthall, near Burford, renaming it The Farmer’s Dog.

The Cotswolds inn, on the A40, operates as a pub and restaurant serving Hawkstone beer and produce linked to the farm.

Now, with the premiere of the new series confirmed for Wednesday, June 3, The Sun has reported that Mr Clarkson is looking into new business opportunities at his farm.

This includes trademarking Diddly Dunkers which are currently a range of shortbread biscuits although the national newspaper said that this range may expand to include clothing and homeware.

In addition, the west Oxfordshire local’s brewery is reportedly looking to make trademark applications for several new drinks such as Arrowhead and Firelight.

Already, Mr Clarkson produces Hawkstone Lager, which is now sold in supermarkets across the country, as well as a number of other popular products.

Tesco expands Clubcard Prices offer as 45 new products added

The supermarket giant has expanded its “3 for £8” Finest deli offer to a whopping 68 items, giving shoppers more than 54,000 mix-and-match combinations.

The move is aimed at Brits hunting for easy lunches, picky teas and laid-back sharing dinners at home, as reported by creatorzine.com.

New additions span everything from gourmet dips and olives to pastries, prawns and premium meats, with some seriously indulgent picks on the list.

Standout treats include whipped feta and tabbouleh, savoury pastel de nata, truffle-infused prosciutto and garlic butter olives.

Among the headline grabbers is the new Tesco Finest Whipped Feta & Tabbouleh, a creamy dip topped with coriander, mint and parsley with dressed bulgur wheat and a mint-infused oil.

Another eye-catching addition is the Savoury Pastel de Nata – a twist on the classic sweet treat, made with all-butter puff pastry and packed with extra mature Cheddar cheese custard.

All items are included in the 3 for £8 Clubcard deal unless stated otherwise.

The update comes after Tesco was crowned Good Housekeeping’s “Picky Tea Supermarket of the Year 2026”, underlining the boom in grazing-style meals and relaxed hosting.

A Tesco spokesperson said the overhaul is its biggest deli revamp yet, designed to match how customers are eating now, from solo snacking to casual get-togethers.

Shoppers can snap up everything from cured meats like Salami with Fennel (£3.50), Parma Ham (£3.50) and Prosciutto Crudo with Truffle (£3.50), to deli staples including Mediterranean Olive Trio (£4), Sicilian Nocellara Olives (£4) and Mozzarella Pearls with Basil Pesto (£4).

There are also plenty of hearty bites, including Garlic & Paprika King Prawns (£5), Serrano Ham & Manchego Croquetas (£4.50), Burrata Arancini (£3.75) and Chorizo with Sherry & Honey Glaze (£4).

Pastry lovers are covered too, with options like Bacon & Onion Sausage Rolls (£4.50), BBQ Pulled Pork Rolls (£4.50), Nduja Mozzarella Quiche (£4) and the new Savoury Pastel De Nata (£4.25).

For picky tea spreads, shoppers can pick up Mini Melton Mowbray Pork Pies (£3.25), Mini Pork Sausage Rolls (£3.25), Cheddar Onion Muffins (£3) and Rosemary Focaccia (£2.50).

The trick was shared on Reddit, where a post on the r/UKFrugal thread revealed how one savvy user bagged 500 Nectar points with barely any effort.

The post, from MovieMore4352, read: “Check your emails from Nectar.

“I’ve just been given 500 Nectar points for simply registering with Marriott Bonvoy. Easy and took seconds.”

The deal is part of Nectar’s tie-up with Marriott Bonvoy, letting members link accounts, swap points and unlock bonus rewards across both schemes.

Through the partnership, shoppers can trade points for hotel stays, experiences and travel perks while also earning extras just for signing up or staying at participating hotels.

New Marriott Bonvoy members who sign up via Nectar can pocket a 500-point bonus – worth about £2.50 – simply by linking their account, with even more points up for grabs on hotel stays.

Carterton – huge 2,500-home Oxford Uni plan progresses

Bloor Homes and Christ Church, University of Oxford, set out plans for the major new scheme on farmland north of Brize Norton, which would straddle the gap between Carterton and Minster Lovell in a request to West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC).

The council has now responded to this and listed topics requiring investigation with an environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental statement before approval can be sought.

The plans for the land between the A40 and Burford Road include a new primary school, neighbourhood centre, cemetery, and space for a “potential future North Carterton Railway Station and associated railway corridor”.

The scoping request to the council suggests construction on the project, named the “Foxbury Garden Community”, could start as soon as 2029, with 1,500 homes completed by 2041.

An objection has been raised by a neighbouring resident, Paul Hughes, who said: “This whole design needs a serious rethink and some joined up thinking by WODC to ensure that this whole area is not going to be ruined for current and future residents and our local environment essentially trashed.”

The principal planner at the district council stated: “It is accepted that some significant effects are likely to arise and as such, no screening request has been submitted and it is agreed that the scheme would qualify as EIA development.”

Not all development schemes require EIA’s, only those expected to have a considerable impact.

The request outlined potential effects and methodology for probing the 161.1 ha site, which it described as “open agricultural fields bound by hedgerows, with small areas of woodland and several areas of dense scrubland”.

It noted that the development would also be bordered by a quarry with “small areas” of residential infrastructure and the Crocodiles of the World leisure facility.

A “framework masterplan” for the site states that the development would herald an “opportunity to support improvements/expansion” of the crocodile zoo.

In January, Bloor and Christchruch held public consultation events on plans in Brize Norton.

There has been a website created with information on the proposals.

It describes the involvement of the college and the housebuilder in the plans, which it says they anticipate receiving planning permission for in 2027.

The website states: “Christ Church is actively involved in bringing forward sites for new housing and mixed-use communities around Oxford and further afield.”

It adds: “Bloor actively engages with local communities and designs high quality homes for its customers.”

Recently, Bloor and Christ Church “collaborated” on the Brize Meadow 799-home development.
