Jeremy Clarkson addresses solar panels and wind turbine at farm
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour star is back on screens this week with the fifth series of his hit show, Clarkson’s Farm.
Initially debuting on Prime Video back in 2021, the programme follows his attempts to turn Diddly Squat Farm in rural Oxfordshire into a viable business.
Viewers see him juggling livestock, red tape and unpredictable weather on land near Chadlington and Chipping Norton.

With four popular editions of Clarkson’s Farm released over the past four years, a fifth iteration has been shown to fans this month.
The first four episodes of the new season came out on Prime Video last week (Wednesday, June 3), with largely positive reviews.
Today (Wednesday, June 10), a further two episodes have been released, with the final two of the series set to drop next Wednesday (June 17).
With the show being once again front and centre of many families’ screens across the country, questions about the farm have been posed to Mr Clarkson.

Over the weekend, the 66-year-old was asked by one social media user on X about potentially bringing farm costs down with renewable energy alternatives.
The viewer said: “Jeremy, [I have been] watching Clarkson’s Farm with my 16-year-old son, and he thinks you need to get some solar panels to reduce your bills.”
Mr Clarkson responded: “We’ve looked into it in great detail. And a wind turbine. But the numbers don’t add up, I’m afraid.”
