International football festival set to raise awareness
The Walking Football Festival, promoted by Abingdon Almost Athletic Walking Football Club, will also raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, from 11am to 3pm at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.
Participants, all of whom are over 50, will include England 65+ and 70+, Ireland 65+ and 70+, Heart, Cancer, Stroke, Parkinsons England, as well as the Welsh Dragons 65+ and 70+.
Prostate cancer affects one in eight men, with risks increasing for those over 50, Black men, or those with a family history of the disease.
The festival aims to highlight the importance of testing.
The Abingdon Almost Athletic Walking Football Club is promoting the event in association with Prostate Cancer UK and the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust.
