Alex P (Petridis) and Lauren Thompson are headlining the party at the Crazy Bear hotel in Stadhampton with DJ sets packed with club classics.

The Crazy Bear group runs hotels with in-house restaurants in Stadhampton, and in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

Resident DJs Ei Doc and Tony Nanton will also be spinning tunes during the 3pm to 8pm party at the iconic venue on Sunday, May 3.

The party for those who love house anthems will take place across the Crazy Bear’s Glasshouse and garden area.

Alex P is a pioneering figure in the Ibiza house music scene, and is widely credited with starting the world-famous “terrace” culture at Space Ibiza.

In 1990, he established the first residency at the Space Garden, creating the open-air daytime partying vibe that Ibiza became known for.

Lauren Thompson is an East London-based DJ best known for blending genres like soulful house, garage, disco, boogie, and rare groove. She is a frequent performer in Ibiza.

Guy Leighton-Rees, events manager at the Crazy Bear, said: “This day party is for those who love a proper anthem and aren’t ready to hang up their dancing shoes.

“The headline DJs fit the bill perfectly to kick-start our summer season of parties and events.”

Alex P has been DJing since 1987 and was part of the original Ibiza dance scene in the early 1990s, holding residencies at Amnesia, Ku and Space.

He was the first DJ to play in more than one club on the island, setting a preference which all clubs followed, in rotating their DJs rather than having a couple of resident DJs for the whole summer.

Lauren Thompson has a weekly set on House FM and has taken to the stage at the likes of Groove Odyssey and Fabric.

Tickets for the 90s House Garden Party are priced at £40.

The Crazy Bear in Stadhampton is home to a variety of dining options, including its classic English restaurant, the freshly refurbished Hom Thai restaurant, an al fresco terrace and traditional countryside pub.

In March, former Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Lifford Shillingford performed a set at the hotel.

He was Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer semi-finalist on the TV talent show in 2018, with eight million people tuning in to watch.

The singer has performed with stars including Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Craig David.

A management buyout took place at the hotel group early in 2025.
