How Oxfordshire MPs compare in parliamentary activity
Using data from January 1 to December 31, 2025, the poll ranked all Members of Parliament elected for the first time at the 2024 General Election on hard figures alone.
It was based on their spoken contribution in the Common Chamber, Westminster Hall, Public Bill Committees, and General Committees.
The poll also used written contributions from the MPs to analyse their parliamentary activity.
A total of 333 new MPs from the 2024 General Election were analysed.
The research found that Freddie Van Mierlo, Liberal Democract for Henley and Thame ranked 28 out of the hundreds of MPs.
He had a total with 395 written questions, and 99 spoken contributions.

Bicester and Woodstock MP Calum Miller, came in at number 85, with a total of 127 written questions, and 166 spoken contributions.
Olly Glover, the Liberal Democrat MP for Didcot and Wantage came in at number 29.

The MP had a total of 129 written questions and 145 spoken contributions.
Meanwhile, Liberal Democrat Witney MP Charlie Maynard, had 111 written questions in 2025, and 147 spoken contributions.

Labour’s Banbury MP Sean Woodcock came in last out of the Oxfordshire MPs with only four written questions and 129 spoken contributions in total.
Although not in the data Anneliese Dodds, the Labour MP for Oxford East had a total of 225 spoken contributions in that time.
Liberal Democrat Abingdon MP Layla Moran only had 51 spoken contributions in 2025.
Ben Obese-Jecty, Conservative MP for Huntingdon, topped the rankings with a total of 3,256 written and spoken contributions.
Meanwhile, Nigel Farage, Reform Leader and MP for Clacton came in bottom 10, with only 39 total contributions.
