Housing developer offers part exchange scheme to buyers

The scheme, offered by Barratt and David Wilson Homes across Oxfordshire, acts as a guaranteed buyer for the purchaser’s existing home, allowing the move to proceed smoothly and without delays.

It is currently available at developments including Brookside Meadows in Grove, Chiltern Grange in Benson, The Meadows at Abbey Fields in Abingdon, and Heyford Springs in Upper Heyford.

Under the scheme, the developer arranges at least two independent valuations and makes an offer on the current property.

Once agreed, the sale can progress without the uncertainty, delays or fall-through risks often associated with the open market.

The part exchange scheme also allows buyers to avoid estate agent fees and move according to their own timeline.
