Hosepipe ban to affect several areas of Oxfordshire
Independent Water Networks Ltd (IWNL) is imposing the restrictions due to ongoing drought conditions.
Starting on July 24, the use of hosepipes for activities like watering gardens, cleaning vehicles, and filling swimming pools will be banned.
The restrictions will be in place until further notice.
The areas affected include Oxford North in Wolvercote, Old Marston, Bicester Road in Kidlington, Wenman Road in Thame, Seven Acres Nurseries in Stanford in the Vale, The Sands in Benson, and various locations in Didcot, Grove, Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, and Watlington.
Residents are encouraged to visit IWNL’s website for detailed information on the restrictions and water efficiency advice.
The water company has stated that the measures are necessary to ensure a sustainable water supply during the drought.
Restrictions will be enforced to manage the limited water resources effectively.
