The Hollywood actor is best known for his work on the Mission Impossible film series as well as starring in classics such as Top Gun, Jerry Maguire and Collateral.

Aside from working, Mr Cruise likes to see the world and, according to national reports in 2024, Oxford was on his sightseeing list.

The 63-year-old star was spotted landing at a helipad in Battersea in June following a day trip in the Oxfordshire city.

Mr Cruise seemed in high spirits as he arrived at the helipad sporting a baby blue polo and denim teamed with white trainers and his trademark aviator shades.

The Top Gun actor was pictured chatting with the staff as he got off the helicopter, and he even took some photos with them on Sunday.

Mr Cruise’s visit came amid the production of the eighth Mission Impossible film, with the star also being spotted filming in April of the same year at Downing Street.

This was not the first time the acting legend visited Oxfordshire, though, as one of his most daring movie stunts was filmed in the county.

Mr Cruise used a disused quarry near Wallingford to practice what has been dubbed one of the most spectacular stunts in cinematic history.

His character Ethan Hunt rides a motorbike off the edge of a 1,240-metre cliff and plummets towards the ground below before his parachute opens in 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
