The former Red Bull F1 boss and his Spice Girl wife share a £9.2m mansion near Banbury at the Oxfordshire border with Northamptonshire.

They had angered neighbours by building an oak-framed pergola and gazebo in the garden of their posh countryside home.

The celebrity couple were accused of ruining an “unspoilt view” of a historic church and was initially denied planning permission.

But a fresh application for the pergola was approved this month, removing the threat of enforcement action, although the status of the gazebo remains unclear.

Now, it is suggested in a new report by GPFans Global that the couple could uproot to Switzerland if Mr Horner is to pursue a new job in Formula 1.

The 52-year-old departed Red Bull in 2025 after 20 years of service at the team, having overseen eight drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.

With a headline dubbed ‘Farewell Oxfordshire: Could Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell be Switzerland-bound?’, GPFans Global suggests a potential move to Audi.

“Horner has all the experience of guiding a new team in the sport and turning them into a championship-winning outfit, having joined Red Bull for their first season in F1 in 2005, and having them winning world championships by 2010,” reads the report.

“Audi has the goal of being world champions by 2030 – something they reiterated in the statement, which confirmed Wheatley’s departure – and that would be a similar timeframe to how long it took Horner and Red Bull to become world champions.

“So we know Horner has the perfect experience for this job role, but the question is, would he want a move to Switzerland?”
