Firefighters issue warning to public amid Oxfordshire blaze
The incident is currently ongoing at the time of writing (Monday, June 1), with Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service crews currently in Finmere, near Bicester.
A fire has broken out at a waste site in the area, and firefighters have now warned the public to close windows due to the resulting smoke.

A statement published on social media by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has said: “We are currently attending a fire in a waste site in Finmere, North Oxfordshire.
“Due to the smoke in the area, residents in Finmere are advised to shut windows and doors whilst the incident is being dealt with.
“The smoke may also affect the A421 in the area at times.”
