The 27-year-old farmhand from Chipping Norton rose to fame in the first season of the Amazon Prime Video show, which was released in 2021.

Since then, the Oxfordshire star has appeared in all three subsequent series, including the fourth iteration, which was released earlier this year across May and June last year.

Mr Cooper has three children with his partner, Taya, welcoming the birth of their son, Ashton, in September 2025.

Now, Mr Cooper has revealed a fire has ripped through one of his barns, leaving the building and its contents destroyed.

The Chipping Norton‑based farming contractor and TV personality shared a photograph of the aftermath on social media.

This snap, uploaded to his Instagram Story, showed piles of charred debris with the structure still standing but smoking, with the straw destroyed.

Mr Cooper said: “I’m having a bad day. Anyone got any straw? Lost all mine.”

The 27-year-old did not give details of how the fire started or the cost of the subsequent damage.

Mr Cooper will be appearing in the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm, with the first episodes due to be released on Wednesday, June 3.

He has built a huge following beyond the TV show, regularly sharing behind‑the‑scenes clips of life on the land with his trademark blunt humour and no‑nonsense farming tips.

Mr Cooper has previously spoken about the challenges facing farmers, from rising costs to red tape, and often uses his platform to champion British agriculture.
