Didcot – Group of teenagers damage cricket field

The group pulled up and damaged several posts at Boundary Park in Greenwood Way, on the Great Western Park estate on Friday, August 21.

Some of the posts were then stolen, police said, while also damaging the ropes surrounding the pitch.

The pitch markings were also damaged.

A man in his 40s then approached the group in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, but was shouted down.

The first offender is described as a white teenage boy, aged approximately 16-years-old, around 5ft 7ins tall of skinny build with short brown hair.

He was wearing a black t-shirt with a grey trim down the side, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second offender is described as a white teenage boy, aged approximately 16-years-old, around 5ft 10ins tall of slim build with short brown hair and a fringe to his eyebrows.

He was wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, dark grey sliders and carried a black rucksack.

The third offender is described as a white teenage girl, aged approximately 16-years old, around 5ft 6ins tall of slim build with dark brown shoulder length hair.

She was wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The fourth offender is described as a white teenage girl, aged approximately 16-years-old, around 5ft 6ins tall of slim build with dark brown hair. She was wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

Police constable Curtis Emery said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone footage, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
