David Beckham spotted with sports legend away from Cotswolds
The former England captain, who lives at a converted barn in West Oxfordshire, was photographed meeting basketball icon Michael Jordan for lunch in Ibiza, Spain.
ESPN reports that the pair were joined by their wives, Lady Victoria Beckham and Yvette Prieto Jordan, for the gathering at a beachfront restaurant.

In Sir David’s case, his son Romeo and Romeo’s girlfriend were also at the table, making it a family occasion for the footballer as well as a rare social link‑up between two global sports superstars.
Pictures from the lunch show the pair embracing and laughing together on the terrace, with the article describing it as “one of the more unexpected pairings of summer 2026”.

The meeting comes during a spell in which Sir David has spent weeks away from his Oxfordshire base, mainly being based in the US to watch the World Cup.
Earlier this week, it was reported how aerial photographs published by the Daily Mail showed his usually lush Cotswolds garden baked brown by the 2026 heatwave, with much of the grassland around his home “the colour of straw”.
Watering restrictions linked to the Thames Water hosepipe ban for West Oxfordshire mean Sir David, like other local gardeners, is unable to use sprinklers or hosepipes to rescue the lawns and must rely on watering cans or drip systems instead.
