Cotswolds firm in liquidation after nine years of trading

The Cotswold Group Limited is registered at an address in Witney in the west of Oxfordshire, and Companies House records show that the firm was incorporated on May 3, 2017.

It is recorded under the nature of business description linked to support activities within forestry and related work.

Recent insolvency notices confirm that the company has entered a creditors’ voluntary liquidation.

A creditors’ voluntary liquidation is a formal insolvency process started by the directors when a company cannot, or is unlikely to be able to, pay its debts in full.

In this process, shareholders pass a special resolution to wind up the company and The Cotswold Group Limited’s winding‑up resolution was passed on March 2, 2026.

On the same date, licensed insolvency practitioners KRE Corporate Recovery Limited were appointed as liquidators to take control of the company’s affairs.

Once appointed, liquidators are responsible for collecting in and realising the company’s assets.

They also review the company’s financial position and deal with creditor claims in line with insolvency law.

Any funds realised from asset sales are distributed to creditors according to the statutory order of priority.

The company will cease trading, and its employees, if any remain, would normally be made redundant as part of the process.

When the liquidation is completed, The Cotswold Group Limited is expected to be dissolved and removed from the Companies House register.

Official notices relating to the liquidation have been published in the public record.
