Christian Horner’s accuser mysteriously released from F1 job

The unnamed executive was informed of her dismissal by her latest employers, whose identity also remains undisclosed, moments before her scheduled flight to Budapest, ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Her dismissal was reportedly due to a “lack of discretion” that led her new boss to lose confidence in her.

It is understood that she did not attend races for a period before her contract was terminated.

Horner’s accuser had previously accused him of coercive behaviour.

Despite being cleared of any impropriety in two internal Red Bull investigations, the controversy intensified when private text messages between the pair surfaced before the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Horner, married to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, was dismissed from his role as the Red Bull team principal following last year’s British Grand Prix.

He had led the team to eight drivers’ and six constructors’ titles over 20 years but was embroiled in a power struggle within the Austrian-based team.

Upon his departure, Horner received a payout of £80million while his accuser, who remained at Red Bull for a few months after the allegations, received approximately £3million.

She subsequently returned to motor racing in July last year, taking up a new position before her recent dismissal.

Horner, reportedly courted by teams like Ferrari and Aston Martin, is contemplating a return to the grid wall, ideally as a team owner.

Meanwhile, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has stated that Horner would “definitely” return to F1.
