Cherwell Business Awards 2026 showcase district’s innovation
The annual awards, which celebrate achievement across the Cherwell district, showcase the diversity and vitality of the area’s business community.
Lesley McLean, leader of Cherwell District Council, said: “The Cherwell Business Awards continue to showcase the very best of our local business community.
“The standard of entries this year has been exceptionally high, and the finalists announced represent organisations that are driving innovation, creating jobs, and making a real difference to our district’s economy.”
Finalists were selected following a multi-stage process involving detailed review of written applications, in-depth interviews with shortlisted organisations where applicable, and a final collective judging meeting.
This year’s shortlist includes well-known organisations across nine categories.
Hook Norton Brewery is recognised in both the Apprentice of the Year and Large Business Award categories.
Banbury United in the Community is nominated for the Charity and Community Award, while new entrants like The Sense of Hearing are listed for the New Business Award.
Other finalists include North South Wines, Logicom Hub Ltd, Pea Green Physio Ltd, and Stanley’s Sweets and Treats Ltd.
Norbar Torque Tools is sponsoring the Overall Winner Award, while Cherwell District Council has served as headline sponsor since 2017.
Winners in each category will be revealed at the Cherwell Business Awards Gala Dinner, to be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at The Chesterton Hotel in Bicester.
Tickets are available for purchase through Eventbrite.
The awards serve as a reminder of the continued innovation and impact driven by businesses across the Cherwell area.
