Camera club: pheasant in field of poppies is a winning photo
That was the latest weekly theme for photographers and they pointed their cameras at the skies to capture some dramatic images.
There were lots of photos taken of red kites and robins and other garden birds.

As always it was difficult to pick a winner for photo of the week but in the end we selected Lesley Tilson’s snap of a pheasant blending in with some poppies in a field.
Each week, camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.
A selection of photos are chosen to be featured in the Oxford Mail and The Oxford Times, and one image is selected as the photo of the week.
The winning photo is almost always related to the weekly theme.
The next theme is ‘life on the Thames’.
