Burford vets unveils unlimited consultation care plan

Stow Vets in Burford has launched the Healthy Pet Club Advanced, which offers unlimited consultations with vets and nurses, with no exclusions for long-term conditions.

The plan also includes routine care such as vaccinations, parasite protection and annual health checks.

Lizzie McLennan Green, veterinary director at CVS Vets, which includes Stow Veterinary Centre in Burford, said: “We know that for many owners, there’s often a moment of hesitation before booking a consultation.

“That’s completely understandable, but it can sometimes mean pets are seen later than we would recommend.”

The scheme aims to remove financial barriers to seeking veterinary advice, especially for minor concerns or changes in a pet’s behaviour.

Research commissioned by CVS Vets found that 24 per cent of pet owners delayed vet appointments in the past year due to financial pressures.

Many turned to alternative sources, with 70 per cent searching for advice online and 37 per cent consulting family or friends.

The Healthy Pet Club Advanced builds on Stow Vets’ existing care plan and adds unlimited consultations to encourage early intervention.

The plan costs £34.99 per month for dogs, £29.99 for cats, and £24.99 for rabbits.

It also includes 10 per cent off veterinary fees and products, 20 per cent off selected treatments, and support services such as microchipping and nail clipping.
