Boutique fashion store opens in Oxfordshire village
Casa Ru has opened in Bampton, offering a curated selection of clothing from both emerging and established brands.
The shop is the vision of founder Mimi Gooddy and sits within Bampton Garden Plants, the family-run garden centre originally established by her late father, Rupert Gooddy.

Ms Gooddy said: “Casa Ru has been a dream of mine for a long time.
“I’ve always loved clothes, and I wanted to create a space where women can find pieces they genuinely feel good in – things they’ll wear and love for years.”
The boutique is named in memory of her father and blends her personal story with a lifelong love of style.
After leaving a career in the corporate world, Ms Gooddy decided to launch the store with a focus on timeless, well-crafted fashion.
The shop stocks a mix of independent brands such as Rixo, Aspiga, Seventy + Mochi, and Pink City Prints, as well as its own label.
Some items are made in India using traditional printing techniques. Casa Ru places an emphasis on fabric, fit and craftsmanship.

With an emphasis on fabric, fit and craftsmanship, Casa Ru offers an alternative to fast fashion.
Ms Gooddyy said: “It’s a project that feels very personal as well as something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
“Bringing it to life has been such a special experience, and I can’t wait to welcome people into the store.”
The store is now open to the public and also offers an online shopping option for customers further afield.
