Sky Wave Distilling Company, headquartered in Bicester, revealed in its first Charitable Support & Community Impact Report that it has backed more than 214 charitable requests between 2019 and 2026.

The distillery prioritises Oxfordshire charities through its ‘local first’ policy, focusing on groups close to its home base and supporting schools and PTAs within a five-mile radius.

Rachel Hicks, co-founder of Sky Wave, said: “We always wanted to share our success with our local community which helps support our business.

“It’s been a learning curve and our philanthropic programme has evolved.

“Sky Wave now primarily offers Distillery Experience Vouchers.

“This provides charities with highly coveted ‘money-can’t-buy’ style auction lots that frequently drive higher ticket sales, while simultaneously bringing gin loving individuals directly into our distillery.

“We love that they leave as Sky Wave fans and brand ambassadors.”

Beneficiaries include the Hummingbird Centre, Oxford Hospitals Charity, Nai’s House, and Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The Bicester-based distillery is also known for producing ultra-premium spirits and has a continuous funding partnership with The Rona Sailing Project, a charity in Southampton.

A portion of every bottle sold supports the organisation, which trains volunteer crew and provides sailing qualifications for inclusive voyages aboard the Lady Shona.

Sky Wave Distilling Company has won international acclaim for its products, earning titles such as ‘World’s Best Gin’ at The World Gin Awards.
