Bicester road to close to install traffic light cameras

London Road in Bicester will be shut overnight from next Monday for ‘essential’ traffic light enforcement cameras to be installed at the railway crossing.

The closure will begin at 8pm on Monday, April 27 and is expected to continue until Friday, May 1.

London Road will be completely closed to traffic between 8pm and 5am for each of the four nights, and the railway will also not be operational during the works.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order issued by Oxfordshire County Council has been issued for the works and can cover a road closure for a maximum of five days.

A diversion route will be signed, directing drivers alond the A4421, directing drivers from London Road to Seelscheid Way, Wretchwick Way, Charbridge Lane, Launton Road and London Road, and vice versa.
