Record Store Day on Saturday was a global celebration of independent record store culture, a day dedicated to shining a spotlight on the shops that support music fans all year round.

On the day itself, hundreds of highly limited releases were available exclusively from indie record stores, all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, and Brue Springsteen were among the artists releasing limited edition records.

Truck Store’s Charlie Burnett-Cooke said: “There were big queues outside Truck Store in Witney, formerly Rapture, and Truck Store in Cowley Road, Oxford,

“As well as limited edition releases, we had DJs spinning vinyl in both stores and live music throughout the day:

“In Witney, local bands played under the clocktower in the Woolgate Centre with sets from Danny Mellin, Mazawattee, The Kokroachez, Dolly Mavies and Steady Habits.”

The Hare is a quiet countryside inn tucked away in the sleepy village of Milton-under-Wychwood near Chipping Norton.

The Hare’s daily-changing seafood menu is at the heart of the offering, shaped entirely by what lands fresh from Cornish day boats via Flying Fish, and championing seasonal, responsibly sourced British ingredients.

The pub is open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 9pm, and on Sundays from 12pm to 8pm, with the bar menu served all day.

Thames Valley Police said a 43-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested, in an update released on Monday, April 20.

It followed an earlier appeal for help finding a wanted man in connection with a suspected breach of the terms of a Serious Crime Prevention Order.

The arrested man is now being held in police custody.

An appeal has been removed from Thames Valley Police’s social media channels and website, including the accompanying image of the wanted man.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Thames Valley Police is no longer appealing for help to find a man wanted in Oxford.

“Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal.”
