The British fashion retailer New Look and the Old School Barber Shop, from 36 to 38 Sheep Street, have come on to the market with scope for both income and future development.

The long-leasehold properties are being offered for sale at around £450,000 by White Commercial

New Look resides at 36 Sheep Street, which is a three‑storey Class E retail unit.

It provides a large open‑plan sales area at ground floor with upper‑floor storage, rear loading access and one parking space, and is being sold with vacant possession and a quoted potential income of £30,000 per annum.

Number 38 is a self‑contained ground floor unit trading as a barber shop, let to H Osselli Esq on a 10‑year lease from September 2017 at a current rent of £20,000 per annum.

Agents say the centrally located site, totalling about 4,774 sq ft, offers development potential on the upper floors, where planning and listed building consent was previously secured for conversion to two two‑bedroom apartments, although those consents have since lapsed.

The buildings sit on a remarkable 500‑year lease dating back to 1579, with a defective title indemnity policy in place up to £1.09 million, and are marketed as an investment, residential conversion and retail opportunity in the heart of Bicester town centre.

New Look has been contacted for a comment.
