Banbury two-year-old girl died after internal bleeding

Darcie-Leigh Sino, a two-year-old girl who lived in Banbury, died on February 10 this year at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

An inquest opening at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court heard that the child, the daughter of a full-time mother and a delivery driver, became unwell at home on the evening of February 9.

She was taken to hospital and died the following day at 12.38pm.

Her medical cause of death was given at post-mortem as “massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding following oesophageal erosion by suspected foreign object into the aorta.”

A full inquest into the child’s death is scheduled to be held at the same court on July 21 this year, at 11am.
