Banbury man ‘punched and left with chipped tooth’ at Cash Converters

The incident occurred when an altercation happened outside the High Street shop in Banbury at around 3.57pm on Tuesday, January 27.

A man in his late 20s was assaulted by another man, who punched him, causing bleeding, a chipped tooth and bruising, say Thames Valley Police.

The victim did not require hospital treatment, and the offender has been described as a white male.

Officers add that the suspect was aged between 30 and 35 years old, and was approximately 5ft 6ins tall.

The police force has now publicly appealed today (Wednesday, April 1) for those with information to come forward, releasing a photograph of a man whom officers wish to speak with.

A statement from Thames Valley Police said: “We are appealing for anyone who recognises the man pictured in relation to an assault with injury outside Cash Converters in Banbury.

“This was a deeply upsetting experience for the victim, and we are taking this incident extremely seriously.

“We urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time to come forward as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43260043864.

“Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
