Mrs Maudsley has been an integral part of the Windrush Valley School community since joining the school in 2013.

During that time, she has held a number of increasingly senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Deputy Headteacher for the past three years.

Her appointment reflects over a decade of commitment to the school and recognises her significant contribution to its continued success.

Throughout her time at Windrush Valley School, Mrs Maudsley has helped shape all aspects of school life while championing innovation, wellbeing and high standards.

As the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), she has led the school’s pastoral provision for many years, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive.

She also introduced the school’s successful WINDRUSH360 initiative, which was recognised positively during the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection in October 2025.

Inspectors noted that the programme “has a positive impact on pupils’ social and emotional development, as well as their learning”, while also recognising that “leaders prioritise pupils’ wellbeing successfully.”

Speaking about her appointment, Mrs Maudsley said: “It is an enormous privilege to become Headteacher of Windrush Valley School.

“Having been part of this wonderful community since 2013, I have seen firsthand what makes it such a special place.

“Our children are at the heart of everything we do, supported by talented and experienced staff, engaged families and a culture where everyone is encouraged to flourish.

“Alongside our exciting new co-curricular programme, I am passionate about strengthening our links with the local and wider community, creating meaningful partnerships that broaden children’s experiences and inspire them to become confident, compassionate and responsible young people.

“I am also delighted that Windrush Valley School has joined the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).

“Membership will enable us to collaborate and share best practice with leading prep schools across the country.

“This will create further opportunities for our staff and pupils to benefit from innovation, professional networking and high-quality educational experiences.”
