Arrest in Oxfordshire town as ‘bladed articles’ found in van
Thames Valley Police said today (Saturday, March 28) that officers arrested a motorist after finding two ‘bladed articles’ in their van in Didcot.
In addition, the driver did not have a valid licence for the roads, police say.

A spokesperson for the rural crime unit said: “PC Woolley has stopped this van in Didcot. Inside the vehicle there were two bladed articles.
“The driver was arrested for this as well as driving without a valid licence.”
A bladed article is any item with a blade or sharp point carried in public without lawful authority, such as kitchen knives, Stanley knives, work tools, or multi-tools.
Depending on context and the article, possession can lead to up to four years of imprisonment.
