Americana duo heading to Abingdon church for concert
The Cornish alt-country/Americana duo will bring their “sublime harmonies and perfectly crafted songs” to Abingdon on June 4.
True Foxes, who released their debut album “Howl” in March 2024, have been gaining recognition in the UK and beyond.
They have been featured on numerous international radio stations, with their album named Americana Album of the Month on The Country Mile Radio and UK Country Radio.
The duo has also received glowing reviews from Americana UK, Rocking Magpie, and Fatea magazines.
They were nominated for UK Duo of the Year 2024 by BCMA.
Their music has taken them from the South West to major cities across England, Scotland, and Wales, and they have graced the main stages at major UK festivals.
They have sold out shows, completed multiple debut headline tours, and shared the stage with renowned folk bands and acts such as Sound of the Sirens, Steve Knightley, Flats and Sharps, Daisy Chute, Willie and the Bandits, The Magpies, Alex Hart, Mark Radcliffe, David Boardman, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Their performances have received rave reviews from prestigious venues like the Liverpool Philharmonic, The Royal Glasgow Concert Hall, and The Water Rats in London.
Tickets for the event can be purchased from musicattheunicorn.org.uk or at Frend & Co, 29 Broad Street, Abingdon, OX14 3LH.
All profits will go towards improving facilities and bringing more talented bands, singers, and instrumentalists to Abingdon.
