Siriki Dembele opened the scoring in the 76th minute before assisting Louie Sibley for a 90th-minute second strike.

Gatlin O’Donkor bagged a third goal with the final kick of the game to secure three points for Aaron Ramsey’s relentless Yellows.

A second clean sheet in a row with seven goals in two games show United are a force to be reckoned with in the third division.

The game began slowly with Oxford trying to assert dominance on the ball but with Burton restricting any avenues forward.

It took 18 minutes for a first shot at goal to come in, Cameron Brannagan lining one up on his weaker left foot but seeing it blocked.

A first half littered with disruptive fouls saw a booking each, interspersed by Missanga seeing a second Yellows attempt thwarted.

The biggest chance arrived for the Brewers, however, Simon Eastwood spreading himself to stop a shot in the box from William Collar.

Early chances in the second half saw a Siriki Dembele effort blocked before Raphael Rodrigues ventured into the box only to drag a shot wide with Eastwood motionless.

Missanga found a first Oxford effort on target shortly after, Corey Addai saving it fairly comfortably, before Michal Helik slid in the block a dig at goal from Rodrigues.

Burton ventured forward again, this time Charlie Webster forcing a diving save from Eastwood with a curling effort.

Webster had another go but was blocked this time before a mix up between Eastwood and Brown saw Rodrigues take aim at an empty goal only for a yellow shirt to get in the way.

Momentum then shifted, Peter Kioso heading over before Siriki Dembele forced a save from Addai.

Dembele then found the long-awaited opener as substitute Tyler Goodrham played Missanga in at the by-line, the 18-year-old cutting the ball back to the goal scorer who put the ball into the roof of the net.

The U’s continued their momentum, O’Donkor lashing the ball onto the crossbar not long after, swivelling well after a low cross found the striker.

Oxford then found an important second, Louie Sibley arrowing into the bottom right corner from outside the box.

And it did not end there as United poured misery onto Burton, a beautiful passage of one-touch play falling to O’Donkor’s feet who tucked home a third.

The youngster, on loan from Coventry City, has played twice since joining in August, coming off the bench against Huddersfield Town before starting the 4-0 thrashing of Leicester City last time out.

Andrews recorded two assists on his first start and did not look out of place in a strong midfield trio alongside Cameron Brannagan and Jamie McDonnell.

The 20-year-old arrived from a Coventry side managed by Frank Lampard in the Premier League and joined a U’s side coached by Ramsey; two former elite midfielders.

As a centre midfielder himself, the Sky Blues academy graduate can take a lot from his two managers.

“It is amazing,” Andrews expressed.

“You look at these other players – obviously, I used to watch them when I was younger – and there’s so much you can learn.

“I think that’s one of the biggest things I can do, is just every day try and pick their brains, try and get as much out of it, because I know how much that will help me develop as a player.”

The young Wales international has already received plenty of specific pieces of advice from the U’s boss.

“Since I came in, [Ramsey] has, especially with the game plan and stuff like that, and how I can use my qualities to affect the team and obviously help the team out.

“He’s helped me a lot.”

Andrews and his new head coach already had a relationship, with Ramsey spending time with Craig Bellamy and the Welsh national team setup.

That pre-existing relationship was a big factor in the signing of the midfielder.

“That was a massive factor.

“Obviously, the staff that are working there, I’ve worked with before, obviously with the Welsh connection, and so I felt like it was a real good opportunity for me to come out, to come here and just get minutes, and just progress as much as I can.”

The former Motherwell and Hibernian loanee played as a left-sided no.8 against Leicester but had license to venture forward, but has the ability to play anywhere in the midfield.

Andrews almost grabbed his first goal for the Yellows last time out, finding himself with the ball in the box straight from kick-off in the second half.

“Wherever I’m put out on the pitch, I want to give my best no matter where I’m playing, but I probably see myself more as a no.8 [or] as a no.10.

“I feel like I’ve got the energy to get up and down the pitch, but showing in the Leicester game, I was able to contribute with two assists, and so I think playing higher up the pitch is also something that I look to do.”
