13 old photos show Oxford nightlife and clubs back in 2003
The pictures were taken from 2003 up to 2009 by Oxford Mail photographers visiting the city’s nightclubs to capture their goings-on.
Classic 2000s style is easy to spot in these images, painting a picture of clubbing in years gone by.

Many of them are pictured in clubs long lost to the city, like The Regal in Cowley Road, which closed in 2011 and is now a Christian community centre, or student bar Kukui in Park End St which shut the same year.
Some, however, have remained, although may have been rebranded or taken over by new management in the 20 years or so since these pictures were snapped.
