The best pictures of the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race
With the Women’s Boat Race starting at 2.21pm followed by the Men’s at 3.21pm, it’s sure to be an action-packed event.
The world-famous sporting event, now spanning 186 years of rivalry between the two institutions since the first Men’s race in 1829, has become a British tradition.

It takes place in London on the famous Championship Course which stretches over 4.25miles of tidal Thames in the west of the capital, between Putney and Mortlake.
The race is regularly attended by more than 250,000 spectators at the banks of the river and watched by many more on live TV – this year broadcast for the first time on Channel 4, instead of the BBC.
