Harry and Meghan turn to Cotswolds after ‘Hollywood exclusion’
The couple who married in 2018 made headlines across the world after stepping down from their royal duties in January 2020.
They have been working in different fields with documentaries, podcasts and books all released in the years following.
However, according to reports from the Times of India last April, the royal couple were feeling “left out of Hollywood”.

This came after their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, did not receive a single Emmy nomination despite racking up over 81.6 million viewing hours in just four days.
The publication suggested that it had left the Sussexes wondering if someone in the industry was working against them behind the scenes.
Meghan’s podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, also did not land well with critics, and her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, also faced a lot of criticism from viewers.

This left the couple reportedly seeking help from their US talk show star friends Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.
The latter moved to the Cotswolds in 2024 with her wife and Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi.
Problems arose since their move, which was allegedly prompted by Donald Trump’s election win, with reports of flooding last year in the area where the house is located.
Despite this, the 68-year-old severed one of her last ties to her homeland around a year ago, selling her home in Montecito, California.
