Charlbury Beer Festival in Oxfordshire to be held next week
The annual Charlbury Beer Festival takes place at Charlbury Cricket Club at noon on Saturday, June 27.
The celebration marks a significant milestone as the festival expects to see the 100,000th pint drunk since its inception in 1998.
The festival, which has reportedly raised around £340,000 for community projects since it started, is expected to draw in hundreds of people.
These beneficiaries include a range of charitable causes, including Community Workshop, the Refugee Action Group, WRFM Radio, the Youth Club, and the Thomas Gifford Trust.
The festival will see a range of approximately 60 real ales this year, as well as over 20 craft beers, a range of ciders and perries, wine, gin, and Pimm’s.
Entertainment is not in short supply, with live music, a Culture Tent featuring a range of performances and talks, and children’s entertainment on the agenda.
A special highlight of the day will be the 14th World Aunt Sally Singles Championships.
Charlbury Cricket Club is just across the road from Charlbury station.
Committee members also expressed their gratitude to the generous sponsors who funded the beers and entertainment tents, plus the many hours that committee members and other volunteers have put in over the years.
