Simon Cowell swipe at Jeremy Clarkson on Britain’s Got Talent
The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir sailed into next week’s live final of BGT during the Saturday’s show.
Originally founded by Jeremy Clarkson to advertise his Cotswolds-based alcohol brand, the group is a collective of real British farmers.
Among them is James Florey, a fourth-generation farmer from Witney who supplies beef and lamb to Mr Clarkson’s The Farmer’s Dog pub in Asthall, near Burford.

During Saturday’s live semi-final, Mr Cowell – who lives near to Mr Clarkson’s 1,000 acre Diddly Squat farm in Chipping Norton – took a joke swipe at his friend.
Praising the choir, Mr Cowell said: “I love what you stand for. It might be a bit annoying to see Jeremy Clarkson’s smug face is the only downside. Well done.”
The results were also live broadcast at Farm Fest, held in Warwickshire this weekend and fronted by the Clarkson’s Farm team.
After 14 weeks of auditions and live semi-finals, the remaining 10 finalists will go head-to-head one final time in the hope of impressing the judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, KSI, and Alesha Dixon – and the public.
Viewers will be able to vote for who they’d like to win the BGT final on the ITV website.
People are limited to five votes per registered mobile number per voting window.
Mr Clarkson has urged people to vote for the Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, who won the golden buzzer during their audition from Amanda Holden.
